Plinko — a free online Plinko game

Drop 100 balls on the board, rack up points, and chase the gold pocket at the center — right in your browser, no sign-up, no download, no money.

How to play

  1. 1

Aim. Move your mouse or finger across the board — an amber line shows where the next ball will land. On a keyboard: ← → to aim, hold Shift for fine control.

  2. 2

Drop. Click, tap, or hit space. Hold it down and balls fall in a stream — up to 80 can be on the board at once.

  3. 3

Score points. Every pocket has its own value, and every 10th ball is gold, worth triple. The round ends after 100 balls, and the result is locked in.

Pocket values

Where you aim genuinely matters. The center pays off best on average: a 500-point pocket sits under the gold glow. The 150 pockets reward a confident throw just off-center, while hugging the edge is a losing bet — that's where the lowest pockets are. Greed gets punished; calculated risk doesn't.

A tip for your last few balls: if you're fighting for a top-10 spot, keep your aim dead center and let the middle pocket do its job. If a spot isn't in reach anymore, riskier lines are a lot more interesting.

One board, the whole world

The top 10 in the sidebar is a shared leaderboard of the best results from around the world, on one board. Nothing leaves your device on its own — only if your result makes the cut and you hit "Save" does your nickname, score, and throw record get sent to the server, and nothing else. No accounts, no cookies, no tracking; if the world leaderboard is unreachable, the game quietly falls back to a local high-score list on your device.

About this game

Plinko became famous on May 26, 1983, when the game of chips falling down a pegboard debuted on the American TV show The Price Is Right. But the physics itself is much older: the board is a close relative of the Galton board, a device Francis Galton built in the 1870s to show how random bounces settle into a neat bell curve. Add a pinch of Japanese pachinko, and you get one of the most hypnotic game mechanics around.

Search for Plinko today and you'll mostly find casino versions asking for a deposit. Ours is the deliberate opposite: a pure, free arcade game. Every bounce is computed live by a real physics simulation — gravity, bounce, spin damping — not a pre-recorded animation or a rigged payout table.

No cookies, no trackers, no ads, no pop-ups asking for your email. Just a fast page, a pegboard, and 100 balls.

FAQ

Is it actually free?

Yes, completely. There's nothing to buy, no coins, no ads, no account to create. 100 balls per game — every time, always.

Can I win real money?

No, and that's a deliberate choice. This is a pure arcade game: points are the only currency, there's nothing to deposit or lose. Gambling versions of Plinko exist elsewhere — this isn't one of them.

Is it luck or skill?

Mostly luck, seasoned with one real decision — where to throw. The center pays off best on average, the 150 pockets reward a bold throw just off-center, and hugging the edge usually lands you in the low pockets. Reading that balance — and deciding whether to risk the gold ball — is the skill part.

How is the score calculated?

Each pocket is worth 10 to 500 points, and the 500 pocket sits under the gold glow right at the center. 100 balls are dropped per round, and every 10th ball is gold, tripling the points of whichever pocket it lands in.

What gets sent to the server when I save my score?

Only your nickname, final score, and throw record — and only the moment you hit "Save to leaderboard" yourself. Without that click, your result stays in your browser only.
